Emma is crowned Showgirl
MISS Warwick Showgirl 2012 and Miss Fundraiser, Emma Pails, graciously accepted her titles in front of 200 people at the Warwick Credit Union Masquerade Ball on Saturday evening.
The ball was held at the Douglas Feez Pavilion at the Warwick Showgrounds.
Miss Pails is a student at USQ and works at the Warwick RSL Memorial Club and Kidszone and said she entered the quest to meet new people and become more involved with the Warwick community.
"It has been a great experience," Miss Pails said.
"The support from the community, my family and friends, the Warwick Show and Rodeo Society and sponsors Pacific Seeds and Olsen's Produce has been outstanding.
"I will do my very best to make the Warwick community proud."
The showgirl entrants worked hard to raise a whopping $8000 between them.
Warwick Show and Rodeo Society president Neville Fanning said the money would go a long way towards maintenance and upkeep for the Warwick Showgrounds.
"The Showgirl Quest is also important to create excitement leading up to the Warwick Show and all the girls are great ambassadors for us," he said.
Judges Peter Blundell, Gay Nicolls and Amy Olsen were all impressed with the exceptionally high standard of this year's entrants including junior showgirl entrant Taylor Duxfield and Miss 2012 Junior Showgirl Tahlia Kirstenfeldt.
