Residents head to the polls

ROSE City residents will head to the voting booths today to elect their new Federal Government representatives.

Over recent weeks the Daily News has been chatting to voters young and old to try and find out whose box they will be checking on election day.

There is no doubting the security of LNP member Bruce Scott’s Maranoa seat and around the traps most seem content to stick with what they know so an upset at this stage would seem unlikely.

However, when it comes to the big guns, opinion is well and truly divided between Gillard and Abbott.

A common phrase we heard from seniors, youngsters and all those in between was, “I’m voting for the better of two bads,” with many saying neither represents their views.

Whether it’s red, blue or no thank you, today is the chance for you to decide.
