Blitz catches swag of drivers

SEVEN hundred and sixteen breath tests in five hours only caught one low-range drink driver Saturday morning but a swag of drivers were issued with other offences at the weekend.

Acting Snr Sgt Des Canning said the Warwick District Traffic Branch set up shop at the Eight Mile with drivers picked up for a range of offences including speeding, driving unregistered and uninsured vehicles, and driving without L or P plates.

"Drivers generally overall appeared conscious of safe travelling, most of the offences were during the Eight Mile operation with a high volume of traffic," he said.
