DONALD Trump's former chief of staff was also reportedly head of the SWAT team.

Reince Priebus was once ordered by Mr Trump to rush into the Oval Office and exterminate a fly, the New York Post reported.

Mr Priebus was summoned into the Oval to take care of the situation for the germaphobe president, according to The Washington Post.

The outgoing chief of staff, who resigned from his job on Thursday, had been demeaned and humiliated by his colleagues, the paper said.

Mr Priebus' loyalty had been in doubt by Mr Trump ever since he urged the then-candidate to drop out of the presidential race when a 2005 video of Mr Trump bragging about sexual harassment became public.

Mr Trump's new communications director Anthony Scarramucci sounded off about Priebus this week to a New Yorker reporter. calling him "a f**king paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac."

Mr Scarramucci sold his hedge fund but was blocked by Mr Priebus from joining the Trump Administration.

Homeland Security Secretary John F. Kelly, a retired four-star Marine general, will become Mr Trump's new chief of staff.
