DENISE Drysdale surprised viewers tonight, overcoming her fears to earn a spot in the Celebrity Splash semi-finals.

Drysdale told APN last week that she was petrified of her debut dive on Seven's new reality show.

But, as the last of the 14 celebrities to climb the "tower of terror" and take the leap of faith, Drysdale held her nerves to jump off the five-metre platform.

Male model Nick Bracks and Home and Away's Demi Harman provided the two painful belly flops of the night and after facing off in a sudden death dive-off, Harman was sent packing.

Olympic swimmer Leisel Jones was eliminated, despite impressing the judges with her sitting tuck dive, and Andrew Welsh was also sent home despite baring all in some bright pink Speedos.

Drysdale, Bracks, Koby Abberton and Adam Richard will join Brynne Edelsten, Pauly Fenech, Andrew Symonds and Tamsyn Lewis in next week's semi -finals.
