David's talent to shine at carols
HIS impressive voice got him through to the final rounds of Australia's Got Talent, and next month David De Vito will show his talents on a more local stage.
Mr De Vito is set to appear in the Rose City to headline this year's Carols in the Park.
Organiser Tracy Vellacott said she was pleased that the big voice of the big man will again wow the carols audience.
"David won the hearts of Warwick audiences during his 2007 and 2009 Carols performances so I'm hoping that they and all his new fans from this year's season of Australia's Got Talent will be out in force to support him on this very special night," she said. "After such a successful year, it would be a shame if Warwick audiences could not add their personal accolades to that of Australia's."
David will join with a host of local performers for a two-and-a-half hour program of traditional and contemporary carols. Crowd favourites Erin Hilton, Melissa Williams, Jenny McDonald and Deputy Mayor Peter Blundell will be joined by new talent along with a mass choir conducted by local music teacher, Bruce Eddiehausen.
Carols in the Park will be held at the Leslie Park Band Rotunda on Sunday, December 18. Entertainment kicks off at 5.30pm, with carols from 6.30pm.
