Cutters lack the numbers
STANTHORPE halfback Jason Wilmot was judged player of the match by the referee as the Gremlins beat the Killarney Cutters 86-10 at Sullivan Oval in Border Rugby League fixtures on Saturday.
The Cutters played with the bare 13.
Andrew Thorne scored three tries to lead the Gremlins try scoring with Matthew Hendry and Nathan Shatte scoring two each.
Prop Matt Rudd impressed for the winners.
Killarney president John Towells said five-eighth Brett Watts was the best of the Cutters.
“Troy Weier played well at hooker. I was proud how the boys competed without any players on the bench,” Towells said.
“With late injuries, we finished the game with 10 men.”
Killarney is at home to Inglewood at Charlie Andrews Oval at 2.30pm Saturday. Tenterfield beat Texas in A-grade.
