Curious crocodiles attracted to hive of activity at airport

THERE has been a lot of activity at the Rockhampton Airport lately and it seems crocodiles have also taken interest.

Two crocodile sightings have been reported, both over 3m long, in Lotus Lagoon and the Rockhampton Regional  Council would like the public to take due care.

With Talisman Saber currently underway in the region, we understand there may be an increased amount of traffic surrounding our airport.

Lotus Lagoon is close to the northern end of the main runway and is also in the vicinity of Osborne Road, and Edwards Road.

Appropriate authorities were contacted and will investigate the situation however it is important the public realise that they may be putting themselves in danger by accessing some areas surrounding the airport to view military activity.
