Queensland College of Wine Tourism campus manager Chrissy Mattiazzi said she was pleased with the outcome.

“Given that there were quite a lot of other Melbourne Cup events on in Stanthorpe, I think 90 was great numbers for Greenlands P&C to get.

“All in all, I think it was a successful day,” Ms Mattiazzi said.

Greenlands State School P&C secretary Mariel Thompson said it was great to see people coming together and supporting the school.

“We were absolutely blown away with the support,” Ms Thompson said.

“To see everyone there enjoying themselves and getting out and having fun was great.

“Times are tough, and we know people don’t have a lot of money, so we try to help out where we can, and to see people come out together and support the school is just amazing,” she said.
