What a croc! Anglers shocked at 5m monster

ROCKHAMPTON'S Liam Kenny was fishing at Casuarina Creek in Port Alma on Sunday when he and his mate spotted a croc "about 5 metres" in length.

The croc was sighted at lunchtime.

Liam said he usually spotted at least one every weekend when he is out on the water, but they were not normally that big.

"I own a 4.5 metre boat, and this croc was bigger than that. Usually they are about three metres upwards," Liam said.

A second croc was also seen on the same day by Gavin Ryan at Pink Lily in Rockhampton.

Gavin said he was cruising up the river on a jet ski and noticed the beast on the opposite side of Pink Lily dredge.

"It was up past Six Mile Reserve on the fresh water side," Gavin said.

Crocodile sightings can be reported on 1300130372.
