Man dies after being pulled from Pumicestone Passage

AN elderly kayaker has died after being pulled from the Pumicestone Passage at Golden Beach.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services media spokesman said they received calls to the incident on Golden Beach Esp about 9.30am.

Paramedics performed CPR on the man, aged in his 70s, for nearly an hour but he was unable to be revived.

The cause of death has yet to be determined.
