Courts in top state after a revamp

CALLING all baggy shorts-wearing, loose singlet-flaunting basketballers - your new court has arrived.

The Warwick Indoor Recreation and Aquatic Centre has stripped back the indoor basketball courts, re-lined, re-glossed and they are now ready for action.

WIRAC centre manager Don Warrener said the newly revamped courts were now of the highest standard.

"Now we will be able to run tournaments and big games," Mr Warrener said.

He said the resurfacing would become an annual part of maintenance.

"It starts to get slippery, so we need to resurface regularly," he said.

The courts will also boast a shot clock that counts down from 17 seconds to keep shooters on their toes and get crank up the atmosphere.
