Counterfeit money printer faces drug charges
A YOUNG man previously jailed for making fake $50 notes was back in court accused of drug-related offending.
Mark Brenton Payne, 23, is charged with possessing steroids, cannabis and used drug utensils at Eimeo on April 22 this year.
He initially wanted to plead guilty today to the three charges, but was advised to talk to the duty solicitor.
The Mackay Magistrates Court was told Payne had a "lengthy history".
Legal Aid Queensland duty solicitor Chris Schrader asked for an adjournment as Payne had as appointment with Legal Aid next week.
Magistrate Damien Dwyer said there was a warrant out for Payne's arrest, which he then returned and cancelled.
The matters were adjourned until July 3.
