Council to host dam meeting tonight
A WORKSHOP on a report into plans for Emu Swamp Dam will be held in Stanthorpe tonight.
The Southern Downs Regional Council resolved to release the consultant's report into the proposed project at its general meeting on Wednesday.
The study was supported by funding from the Federal Government's National Water Infrastructure Development Fund.
Members of the community, particularly those who would be impacted by the proposed dam or its alternatives, have been invited to attend the workshop, which will feature consultants GHD Pty Ltd from 5.30pm at Stanthorpe Civic Centre.
The workshop will address questions or concerns interested parties have in the Emu Swamp Dam report.
