Community gathers to light up the night

STANTHORPE’S Light the Night event on Friday is the ideal opportunity for our community to gather, show solidarity in the fight against this dreaded disease and raise lanterns to light the night.

The White Lantern Ambassador, Lenny Girgenti and the Blue Lantern Ambassador, Damian Anderson will share their stories at the Stanthorpe Light the Night.

This year’s line up of entertainment has something for everyone.

The event kicks off at 5pm in the Lions Park, Quart Pot Creek. Lanterns will be on sale for $5.

There will performances from several groups throughout the evening until the walk begins at 6.30pm.

This year, the Official Ceremony will begin with the beautiful sounds of bagpipes playing the National Anthem, and Amazing Grace for when the walk begins later in the program.

Cooper Wren will capture the magic of the evening with his drone.

Everyone is invited to attend. Please bring chairs and/or blankets. In the event of rain, alternative arrangements will be made and advertised.
