Clubs have ambitions for finals
THE Warwick Mitchell and Davis shield sides both want wins against Central Downs this Sunday in their away representative games.
This will keep alive both side’s chances of making the finals.
The Warwick Mitchell Shield side will be looking for a good start from Jason Steketee and Lachlan Campbell with the bat so that middle-order batsmen Adam May and Greg Louis can consolidate the innings.
Mark Steketee and Chris Cantwell will be chasing early wickets with the new ball on the Southbrook synthetic surface.
The accurate bowling of Brett McEvoy and Adam May along with swing bowler Matthew Elford ensures that Warwick has a well balanced bowling attack.
The Black Toyota Warwick Davis Shield side will be hoping that Matthew Authers, Mitchell Siebenhausen and Craig Cantwell can get runs at the top of the order.
In the bowling department, Darren Dukes and Jim Callaghan should lead from the front with some wickets.
In club cricket Wheatvale should be hard to beat at the Wheatvale against the Warwick Hotel Colts.
The success of Wheatvale and Colts spinners Nathan Bell and Donald Miller could be crucial.
In other club games, Allora play Killarney at Slade Park on Saturday, CSD play Sovereign Animals at Queens Park and Inglewood have the bye.
