Circle work for show

THE countdown to the Stanthorpe Show may be all but over but that hasn't stopped even more events being added to the bill.

In a last minute move to create more entertainment on Saturday night, engines will get revved up in the main arena.

Oz Ute Club member Karen Parmenter said the fleet of hotted up vehicles would take to the ring for circle work.

"We are trying to take the show right through to Saturday night," she said.

"We only just decided we could pull it off and we went to the Show Society and they said yes.

"We are spreading the word like wild fire and we already have utes ready to go," she said.

Ms Parmenter said show goers could expect to see painted vehicles decked out with lights and flags ripping it up once the horse events and grand parade were finished at about 5.30pm.

"Country people love to get out in the bush and in the paddocks and do donuts and burnouts and that's what we'll be doing," she said.

"People can enter on the day and it's only a $5 entry fee."
