Christmas activities fill main street on Thursday
CHRISTMAS will arrive in Stanthorpe on Thursday, when the festivities begin in the main street.
Activities will run from 1-7.30pm.
All throughout the afternoon will be a number of cake and market stalls, a barbecue run by the Lions Club, a ham wheel run by Rotary, the Show Ambassadors, wood craft and much more.
From 1-5pm, Kent Saddlery will be running kids activities in the piazza, with whip cracking at 4pm.
To get more in the spirit of Christmas, the Stanthorpe Choir will be travelling along the footpath and Santa will be stopping to say hello out the front of Lifestyle Footwear and Gleeson's Mercery.
At 6pm, the winner of the People's Choice in the window decorating competition will be announced, followed by the announcement of the Christmas promotion winner.
Shops will be open for late night shopping, so be sure to pick up any last minute gifts.
The night will then conclude with a fireworks display.
