Child abduction attempt

WARWICK police have urged children and parents to be on the look out for strange vehicles after two men in a dark green Commodore allegedly approached children in Batterham St, Warwick, at 9.45pm Friday.

The two men were driving a vehicle with no number plates.  Police said after approaching the children outside the residence, the men decamped in the vehicle.

"The vehicle was last seen approaching the Warwick-Allora (back) road," a police spokesman said.

"We urge parents to keep an eye on young children and know where they are.

"Anyone seeing strange vehicles or suspect activity is encouraged to report it to Warwick police on 4660 4444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000."
