Charity golf day this weekend

Golf: Stanthorpe Golf Club was glad to see the district receive some much-needed rain last month but this meant they had to postpone the annual Heritage Breast Cancer Golf Day.

Heritage Stanthorpe branch manager Teneil Zahner said it a lucky gap in the calendar meant it could be rescheduled for this weekend.

"Heritage Bank Stanthorpe has sponsored the Golf Day for many years,” she said. "It is a cause dear to our hearts, raising much-needed funds for the local cancer support group.

"We invite all golfers to dress up in pink and come along to the Stanthorpe Golf Club for a shotgun start from 11.30am this Saturday.

"There will be a sausage sizzle, multi-draw raffle, prizes for best dressed and best decorated buggy as well as first and second prizes for men and ladies.
