Chance of rain for Apple and Grape

THE weather looks to be on the town's side for the Apple and Grape opening weekend.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology Stanthorpe can expect mostly sunny days over the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

However be prepared for the possibility of rain into the nights, with a medium chance of showers predicted each day from the afternoon onwards.

Temperatures are expected to be pleasant over the weekend, with maximums of 22C for Friday, 24C for Saturday and 27C for Sunday.

A fresh start for Friday with a minimum of 14C. Saturday and Sunday are expected to have minimums of 17C.

Meteorologist Harry Clark said the thunderstorms over Monday night should have no impact on the weekends events due to heading in a northerly direction.

This is after Amiens received 26mm of rain over Monday night and 16mm for Stanthorpe.

Despite the sunny conditions Mr Clark said residents should still be prepared for possible scattered showers over the Apple and Grape weekend.
