Cattle auctioned for LifeFlight

THE LifeFlight Foundation in Toowoomba has welcomed a donation from Michael Boucher and Rugby Farms from funds raised at the cattle auction at the Stanthorpe Show.

This year Mr Boucher raised about $5000 from the sale of prime cattle, $2000 of which came from Jim Lowther.

He said this year was the off-season for them, not wanting to compete with the Apple and Grape.

"This coming year for the next show, we're going to specialise for the LifeFlight section and make a lot more money if we can,” he said.

"(A LifeFlight spokesperson) was telling me it costs $10,000 a trip to fly, so that's a lot of money.

"We're hoping to raise around $100,000 in the next one.”

He said he was proud to help out.

"You only live once, so you've got to make the most of it,” he said.
