Ute careens 100m off Bruce Hwy in terrifying crash

A SCENE of devastation confronted emergency services on Saturday night after a ute towing a boat careened 100m off the Bruce Hwy down the embankment.
The two occupants of the Toyota Landcruiser somehow escaped with only minor injuries.
It is believed the vehicle, which finished upside down 100m down an embankment, landed on the boat it was towing.
The crash occurred on Saturday night, with Clayton's Towing recovering the destroyed vehicle early yesterday.

Clayton's Towing posted Reverse recovery photos last night to social media.
Facebook users urged the occupants of the vehicle to take advantage of their lucky streak and buy a lotto ticket.

"Geez I hope they bought a lotto ticket! Looks like a lucky escape!" Penny Watson said on social media.
Megan Carmichael observed, that "the old landy don't handle rolls too well."
The two occupants are believed to have escaped with only minor injuries in the crash.
