UPDATE: Both lanes of the up-section of the Toowoomba Range have reopened after a single vehicle crash this morning.

The crash occurred about 7.35am.

Authorities were forced to close both westbound lanes to remove the ute, which overturned and ended up on its roof.

The Department of Main Roads is warning of delays of up to 20 minutes.

BREAKING: A car has crashed on the Toowoomba Range forcing authorities to close the westbound lanes.

The crash was reported 7.35am.

The car has overturned and ended up on its roof.

Authorities closed the up-section about 7.40am.

There is heavy traffic congestion. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Queensland Police Service has also issued a warning to motorists regarding a diesel spill on the down-section of the Toowoomba Range.

Heavy vehicles are urged to use caution.
