Bushfire burns through inaccessible land near Killarney

FIRE flared near Spring Creek Rd today as temperatures soared into the high 30s.

The vegetation fire, which has been burning in the area for some time, started to "burn off again" in the early afternoon, according to the first officer of the Killarney Rural Fire Brigade, Wayne Peterson.

"It was a really hot day so everything lit up again," Mr Peterson said.

"But the fire remains in inaccessible land so there's not much we can do with it."

The rural fireys are working together with the local community to monitor the fire.

If you believe your property is under threat, you should call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
