MORE than 250 residents are now official team members of the new $48 million Bunnings Warehouse Maroochydore, which is set to open its doors to the public in mid-October.

Bunnings Warehouse Maroochydore complex manager Kevin Harris said he was excited to welcome the more than 50 new team members to the existing team of 200 who will transfer to the new store.

"Bunnings provides a wide range of meaningful career development options for all team members, and I'm confident our new recruits will relish the opportunity to learn and grow with us," he said.

A number of the new team members are qualified tradespeople including carpenters, horticulturalists, interior designers, painters and plumbers, who will all be on hand to provide local residents with expert advice for their DIY projects.

Bunnings Warehouse Maroochydore is located at 78-90 Dalton Dr, Maroochydore.
