Bullets fired up for big game

THE Toowoomba Tigers are ready to take on the Tenterfield Bullets playing in Warwick for the first time in the Agricultural Requirements Regional Basketball League (ARRBL).

Tigers team captain and previous Warwick player Mike McDaniel is pumped for a great match playing in front of a home crowd again.

“This is just a one-off game because we always got a great response from the Warwick crowd in previous seasons,” McDaniel said.

Warwick boys Shannon Slater and Israel Natividad will front up against Tenterfield for the Tigers along with Scots PGC College talent Benjamin Tierney.

“Ben, in only in the 11th grade at 196cm, is a beginning player who is coming along really well in the team,” McDaniel said.

McDaniel said it would be a great night of sport with a big challenge ahead after losing against the Bullets in the first match of the season.

“It will be a very physical game of a fast pace,” he said.

McDaniel said he was going to try and get more ARRBL games out to Warwick if tonight was a success with crowd support for the players.

“It will be great night of entertainment with music and then everyone can head down to the pub afterwards,” McDaniel said.

“I miss playing at Warwick, we were getting some great crowds there and hope tonight will be the same.”
