Brumbies star David Pocock ‘on track’ for Stormers clash

THE ability to score from rolling mauls has been crucial for the Brumbies in season 2015, with star flanker David Pocock leading the way.

So his availability for the team's sudden-death semi-final against the Stormers in Cape Town early Sunday morning will be vital to the team's chances.

Pocock (pictured) left the field with concussion in the 37-24 loss to the Crusaders in Canberra last Saturday.

Brumbies staff will continue to put him through a range of tests to ensure his health, but coach Stephen Larkham said Pocock was "on track" to play.

The Canberra franchise lost a thriller 25-24 when the teams met in Cape Town in round 13. But having the same referee for this game - Jaco Peyper - as they did last weekend should benefit the Brumbies.

"He's a very consistent referee and we're happy with the appointment," Larkham said.
