Best bulls line up for Allora show
SCOTT Keogh has organised the best quality field of bull riders to date for the annual invitation event at the Allora Show on Friday.
Keogh, the rodeo organiser, said he had most of the top 35 in the country lining up on bulls from the strings of Frank Biddle and Ross Hamilton.
While last year's Allora winner Mitch Duff, of Gunnedah, is out with a broken ankle, the APRA 2009 champion David Kennedy, of Kyogle, will compete along with Brad Pierce, the 2007 Professional Rodeo Cowboys' Association world rookie all-around and bull ride winner.
Pierce hails from Tumut in New South Wales and is one of almost 20 bull riders who will travel from interstate.
Warwick pair Scott Glasby and Damian Clarke have performed well at Warwick rodeos in the past two years and will compete.
The Allora Show Rodeo will start at 7pm on Friday and also includes a pony bareback ride with horses provided by Warwick contractor Clint Wells.
Junior bull, junior steer and poddy rides are also on the program with nominations closing at the grounds at 6pm on the night.
