TRASH will become treasure this weekend as Liston take part in the Garage Sale Trail.

Held on Saturday, the Garage Sale Trail allows people to register their address online to take part in the day.

The Liston community, sponsored by the Tenterfield Shire Council, has banded together to host a combined garage sale at the Liston Community Hall.

Sales will be both inside and out of the hall, with a number of tables planned to be set up inside and car boot sales organised for outside.

A huge variety of items has started piling up at the hall, including a range of antiques, household items, kitchen appliances, plants, baby toys and clothing, books and assorted knick-knacks.

With the hall full of tables and a large variety of items available, there is sure to be something for everyone.

The Liston Hall committee will also be putting on tea, coffee and other light refreshments for a small cost, as well as tables selling cakes and slices.

The Liston Hall Garage Sale Trail will run from 9am-3pm (New South Wales time).

Other Granite Belt residents are also able to be involved in the day and sell their unwanted items.

To participate, sellers can register their address online for free at the Garage Sale Trail website.

There, they can also provide a list of items for sale to attract more visitors.

People can also look on the website to find sales in their area.

For more information on the day, how to register or find a sale, visit garagesaletrail.com.au.
