Backpackers come unstuck on dirt road

A VEHICLE carrying backpackers was brought to an abrupt halt this morning after it lost control on a Glen Aplin back road.

The sedan was travelling down Newmans Lane went it appears to have lost control at a sharp corner on the dirt road.

Police, Fire and Rescue and a Stanthorpe Ambulance crew were quick to the scene.

"An Ambulance crew was called out just before 10.30," a Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said.

"One patient, with a wrist injury and neck pain has been transported to Stanthorpe Hospital in a stable condition.

"Two other patients were assessed on scene," the spokesperson said.
