B-grade the big deal

THE B-grade competition is the largest in the Warwick Netball Association, with eight teams.

Games are not played during school holidays and players will return on Monday to play on the resurfaced courts at WIRAC.

Three games each week are played on Monday nights, with one game on Tuesdays.

 

Livewires

AMANDA Pierce captains the Livewires side which made the finals last year and leads the 2012 points table.

Kylie White mainly plays as a shooter and has been on target this season. Natasha Shelley leads a strong defensive outlet.

Sarah Stewart has transferred with work and will be missed.

 

Hot Shots

THE Warwick 14 years rep side, under coach Helena Fraser, plays under the Hot Shots banner in club netball.

Meg Eastwell is captain of the second-placed side.

The team is playing its first season in senior netball and going well in rep games.

 

Pink Ladies

ONE of the experienced sides, the Pink Ladies is well served by Sami Bartholomai in centre court.

Laura Hollingworth, Laura Quinlan and Brooke McKenzie also play in centre court for a team which is equal third with Western Healing. Bev Burville is a rep player in her first season and shoots in combination with Karyn Byrne.

 

Western Healing

DONNA Carey captains Western Healing, which includes her daughter Aidyn Jensen.

While Carey is a regular shooter, Aidyn plays centre court.

The team is well served by the Johnson family with sisters Jessie and Katie Johnson and Samantha Horn.

 

White Noise

A TEAM from Allora, White Noise is captained by Anne Glass who is also an accomplished campdrafter.

Glass plays centre court. Her daughter Erin, is also in the team.

Jessica Van Der Poel usually plays in centre court or as a shooter.

 

Cosmos

ASSUMPTION College teacher Kiara Wilson captains Cosmos, which includes two students, Codie Brackin and Hayley Millard. Wilson plays centre with Brackin a shooter and Millard a centre-court regular.

Shari Hirning is mainly wing defence for Cosmos and for Warwick 1 in rep games.

 

The Educators

HEIDI Bergemann captains a side which includes a large number of teachers. This team is in its first season of B grade.

Mandy Byrne is in her first season and Anne Lyons returned after a break from the sport.

 

Smurfs

THE Smurfs plays Darling Downs inter-district netball under the Warwick 3 banner.

Lauren Eastwell and Kiarna Roche are shooters while Kiarna's twin Eilish is in defence, along with Amber Christensen and Sarah Fenton.
