Attempted murder accused to seek legal representation

A SUSAN River man accused of attempted murder has appeared in court without legal representation.

Robert Laurance Bettles, 30, had a bandaged right hand when he appeared in Maryborough Magistrates Court on Monday morning and was wearing a white shirt and black and white board shorts .

The case was adjourned to the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court until November 27 to allow Bettles to seek legal representation.

He did not apply for bail.

Magistrate John Smith asked if Bettles if he would like to appear at the court or just have his legal representation appear and he requested to appear.

He is accused of the attempted murder of a man and a woman and the wilful damage of a phone and a vehicle following an incident at an Urraween home in the early hours of Saturday.
