Arts fund recipients announced

TWO Granite Belt art groups are recipients of round two of Regional Arts Development fund granted by the Southern Downs Regional Council in partnership with the Queensland State Government.

The Stanthorpe Pottery Club has been granted $1274 to engage artist Dr Cathy Franzi to conduct a two-day ceramic workshop, exploring new ideas and techniques.

The Stanthorpe Agricultural Society Fine Arts sub-committee was granted $600 to engage local digital artist Natalie Burton to conduct two workshops for youth and other interested people on the techniques, technology and outcomes of digital arts practice.

Round three of RADF will open for applications on Monday. The closing date for applications is midnight, Friday, July 6.
