Girl snatched from childcare centre found safe
THE five-year-old girl taken from a daycare facility in the Gold Coast on Monday has been found safe on the NSW Central Coast.
Police located the girl and a man in Kempsey, more than 400km from Carrara, where she was taken at 3.50pm on Monday.
An Amber Alert was sparked after the man took her from the daycare facility.
The pair were only spotted more than two hours later at a service station in Brunswick Heads in NSW.
The Amber Alert was called off about 1.30am on Tuesday morning
Investigations are ongoing.

AN amber alert has been issued after a five-year-old girl was taken from a Gold Coast childcare centre.
Police said a man was seen taking the girl around 3.50pm today from a daycare facility on Birmingham Rd, Carrara before putting her in a brown sedan and driving off.
It is believed the man is the little girl's father.
Police in NSW found the five-year-old safe in the Mid North Coast town of Kempsey.
They had been sighted leaving a service station at Brunswick Heads at 6.20pm and were believed to be travelling south.
