Alleged graffiti vandal suffers electric shock in rail yard
POLICE are investigating after a man suffered an electric shock at a railway yard at Tennyson in Brisbane's south last night.
Preliminary investigations suggested that at about 8.30pm, two men entered the rail shunting yards and attempted to graffiti rolling stock, police said.
It is believed as a 26-year-old Greenbank man scaled a container car, he raised his hands and suffered an electric shock, causing deep thickness burns to 90% of his body.
He has been transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for treatment of his burns which are considered life-threatening.
A 19-year-old man is assisting police with their enquiries.
Queensland Rail has been advised and is also assisting police in their investigation.
