Admiration shown for aides during special week

Farmers' Day

LAST Friday Severnlea had a dress up day to raise some much needed funds for Australian farmers battling drought. They had approximately 60 very authentic looking farmers turn up to attend school.

A sausage sizzle and popper were enjoyed by all and due to some very generous donations by Severnlea families, about $360 was able to be raised to support the drought relief fund. A great day was had by all and the students were thrilled to be able to help the struggling farmers.

Crisp's Art Show

FOUR Severnlea students were triumphant after the recently judged Crisp's Art Show.

All of the 2018 Severnlea Student entries were of a high standard but special congratulations must go to:

Ashton Pollard Year 6 - 2nd.

Harlen McBean Year 4 - 2nd.

Livia Cannavo Year 5 - 3rd.

Lara Rose Year 4 - Highly Commended.

A special awards ceremony will be held at the Art Gallery on Thursday.

Thank goodness for teacher aides

ON Tuesday students at Severnlea acknowledged and celebrated Teacher Aide Appreciation Week.

Their four aides were presented with a gift along with three loud cheers for the work they do.

The Severnlea School community would like to acknowledge all of the work done by Miss Hill, Miss Esther, Miss Montana and Mrs Kratzman. They are also fortunate enough to have Eve Franklin working as an aide for the remainder of Term 3. Like any school, Severnlea would be lost without their teacher aides. They are much loved by students, teachers and parents.
