Abandoned pound dog finally finds fur-ever home

FOR almost two years, Olivia lay waiting for her forever home.

After being dumped as a puppy at the pound, the pooch was taken to Southern Downs Ark where she battled through severe trauma and abandonment issues.

It looked like she might never find her forever home until Tayla Blake and Jonathon Skaines came.

Spotting Olivia at the rodeo markets was love at first sight.

"My partner and I fell in love straight away," Tayla said.

"I got a little bit emotional when I met her, actually. We had heard she's quite timid with males, but she fell in love with Jonathan and immediately started cuddling him."

A month later, Olivia couldn't be more at home with them and Jack Russell Duke.

"It feels very rewarding adopting a dog that wasn't very loved at the start of their life and knowing you can look after them now forever," she said.
