Seven-year-old and her Poppy write a poem about TC Marcia

Cyclone Marcia, Came into town.

Blowing all the leaves off and knocking the trees down.

She came into Lanigan street at number 54,

Rattling the front and the back door,

The Hens in the hen house couldn't be seen.

But the ducks thought that they were living the dream!

I am sure that there is more to come of this clever little poem that my daughter and her poppy sat down and wrote by the light of a kerosine lamp the night after TC Marcia.
