Wattles bag grand final trifecta

WATTLES have qualified for three grand finals in the Warwick and District Junior Rugby League competition.

On Saturday, Wattles won preliminary finals in the under-12 and under-13 age groups at Tigers Park, Tenterfield, in blustery conditions.

Goondiwindi is in four games, from U11 to U16 age groups.

Grand finals in all grades will be played on Saturday at Platz Oval.

Warwick and district secretary Cathy Hamel said it was a great day of junior footy at Tenterfield in mainly fine conditions.

Preliminary final scores: U12 Suburbs 30 def Goondiwindi 0, U13 Wattles 16 def Collegians 6, U14 Wattles 24 def Collegians 20, U16

Collegians 46 def Suburbs 28.

Grand final draw: U11 9am Millwood v Goondiwindi, U12 10.15am Wattles v Suburbs, U13 11.30am Goondiwindi v Wattles, U14 12.45pm Goondiwindi v Wattles, U16 2pm Goondiwindi v Collegians.
