Visitor centre eyes next award
NO rural centre has ever taken out the Queensland Tourism Visitor Information Centres and Services Award, but Warwick is planning on changing that.
The Rose City’s information centre faced Queensland Tourism Awards judge Claire McFarlane yesterday to show her why they are the best.
Visitor Information Centre supervisor Charee Aspinall said the judge was impressed with the length volunteers went to in supporting tourism.
The centre’s Christmas Holiday Game Plan impressed, and Mrs Aspinall is eager to add to the other two awards the VIC has received this year.
Azjure Studio Retreat, Ballandean, has also been nominated for the luxury accommodation award it won last year.
