Feel the greens under your feet

LEIGH Stacy bowled on an outdoor green for the first time yesterday and reckons he will be back for barefoot bowls - round two - at Warwick East Bowls Club on March 4.

"It is great. I will come each month," Leigh said.

"Norm (Madsen) is a good teacher."

Leigh currently does aqua-aerobics each week at WIRAC.

Yesterday, 20 players attended the first barefoot bowls for the year.

Community Options organised one group.

Organiser Ross Norman said he was hoping to attract more individuals and groups at 1pm on March 4.

Cost is $8 which includes a sausage sizzle.

Bare feet or flat soled shoes acceptable.
