UPDATE: A 20-year-old Warwick man and a 19-year-old Maryvale man have been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm for their involvement in the incident.

Both men are due to appear in Warwick Magistrates Court on September 2.

EARLIER: After suffering a blow to the head last night 18-year-old Amiens man Ashley Quirk is in a critical condition at the Princess Alexandra hospital in Brisbane.

Police allege Mr Quirk sustained a head injury in an altercation with two other men which occurred in the St Mary's hall car park in Warwick at 12am on Saturday night.

He was transported to Warwick Hospital before being airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane at 4.15am this morning for further treatment.
